WEST EARL HONORS LONG TIME POLICE OFFICER

At Monday night's Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board recognized long time Police Officer and Brownstown native Wendell Metzler.
Supervisor Harold "Butch" Keppley addressed the public and praised Officer Metzler for not only his years of service but the respect that the public, the Board, and the members of the department have for him. Officer Metzler was joined by his wife Heather as Supervisor Keppley read a proclamation declaring July 13, 2020 as "Wendell Metzler" day.
Officer Metzler has served the residents of West Earl as a part time police officer since 1997. Wendell is known by many and is often seen driving the police cruiser each year in West Earl's annual Halloween parade! Wendell states that being able to serve his hometown of West Earl is a special honor for him, having been born and raised in Brownstown. He has also donated much needed equipment to the department over the years at his own expense.
Thank you Wendell for your continued service to the residents of West Earl Township!

The West Earl Township play areas and parks are now open to the public. Please take note of the restrictions before entering these facilities. Thank You.
