On June 8, 2015, the West Earl Township Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance #230- "Sidewalks, Requiring Maintenance Repairs to Sidewalks". One of the most important components of the ordinance places the responsibility for maintaining and repairing a sidewalk on the owner of the property that abuts that sidewalk.
If your property abuts a sidewalk that is in need of repair or replacement you will receive a letter from the Township notifying you. The timeframe to bring your sidewalk into compliance with the Sidewalk Ordinance will be within six months from the date on the letter. If you have questions please refer to the "Frequently Asked Questions" link below before contacting the Township Office. Thank You.
